Behavior
- Normalized mode maps region indices from 0 to 1.
- Integer mode emits the zero-based index clamped to 8-bit.
Common mistakes
- Integer mode is clamped to the editor’s current 8-bit output range.
- The app uses Flood Fill Info rather than Substance’s BBox/Special Shape Info pair.
