Import or export a graph package

Import or export a graph package

Use a .gnproj file for a graph without bundled assets. Use .gnpack when the export includes assets or dependencies.

Use a .gnpackage file to share a collection as a custom node library. Collection package transfer requires Pro.

Export

  1. Select a graph in the Project Browser.
  2. Open the graph transfer action.
  3. Choose the required package options.
  4. Export the package.

Import

  1. Open the Project Browser.
  2. Open the package importer.
  3. Choose a .gnproj or .gnpack file.
  4. Review the package details.
  5. Confirm the import.

Graph package import and export require Pro. Package import creates a graph rather than replacing an open graph.

Export a custom node library

  1. Mark a collection as a node library.
  2. Open the collection action menu.
  3. Select Export .gnpackage.
  4. Select optional unreferenced assets from the collection.
  5. Export the package.

The package always includes nested collections, graph dependencies, and referenced assets.

Import a custom node library

  1. Open the Project Browser.
  2. Select Import .gnpackage.
  3. Choose a .gnpackage file.
  4. Review the collection, graph, and asset counts.
  5. If items are invalid, select the option to import valid items only.
  6. Confirm the import.

Import creates a new top-level collection and does not replace an existing library. The library is visible on the importing device by default.
