Safe Transform
Safe Transform
Use Safe Transform when a tiled texture must stay seamless while offsets and rotation remain crisp. It wraps sampling on both axes, snaps offsets to whole pixels, and always constrains rotation to quarter turns for exact texel preservation.

Common uses
- Use Repetitions to tile the input down before transforming it.
- Rotation is always limited to 0°, 90°, 180°, or 270° for exact tile continuity.
Input ports

Accepts any image input and preserves its output format.
Output ports

out -
Produces a same-size, seamless image using nearest-neighbor sampling.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Default | Range or values |
|---|---|---|---|
| Offset X | float | 0 | -1 to 1 |
| Offset Y | float | 0 | -1 to 1 |
| Rotation | float | 0 | 0 to 270 |
| Scale | float | 1 | -4 to 4 |
| Scale X | float | 1 | -4 to 4 |
| Scale Y | float | 1 | -4 to 4 |
| Repetitions | int | 1 | 1 to 20 |
Behavior
- Offsets are rounded to source pixels.
- The node always wraps both axes so its output remains tileable.
Common mistakes
- Nearest-neighbor sampling deliberately keeps hard pixel edges instead of smoothing them.
