Separate HSB
Separate HSB
Use Separate HSB to isolate HSV color properties for independent processing. Achromatic pixels emit hue zero, and brightness is the maximum RGB channel.
Availability
This node is available in the free feature set.
Common uses
- Process the three masks independently before recombining them with Combine HSB.
Input ports
-
input -
Accepts grayscale, RGB, or RGBA image input.
Output ports
-
h -
s -
b -
H is normalized hue, S is saturation, and B is HSV brightness/value.
Parameters
This node has no shared processing parameters.
Behavior
- Outputs normalized grayscale H, S, and B masks and discards source alpha.
Common mistakes
- Hue is circular, so values near black and white in the hue mask are adjacent colors.
